Job Title: Remote IT Administrator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote IT Administrator to support and manage our organization’s IT operations entirely remotely. This role is essential in ensuring the security, accessibility, and functionality of all systems while supporting remote team members across regions. You will be responsible for handling IT onboarding/offboarding, providing day-to-day technical support, managing system access, and maintaining detailed inventory and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. IT Onboarding & Offboarding:
• Set up user accounts, emails, system permissions, and software access for new hires remotely.
• Perform remote device configuration, access revocation, and remote wiping during offboarding.
• Maintain and update onboarding/offboarding documentation and checklists.
2. Remote Technical Support:
• Provide technical support to team members for issues related to devices, software, and applications.
• Troubleshoot issues related to OS, VPN, printers, internet connectivity, and collaboration tools.
• Coordinate with vendors or escalate complex issues when required.
3. System & Access Management:
• Administer and audit user accounts and credentials for various systems and cloud platforms.
• Regularly monitor and ensure system access is compliant with IT policies.
4. Hardware & Software Inventory Management:
• Track all IT assets including laptops, peripherals, and accessories shipped to and from users.
• Maintain records of software licenses, renewals, and subscriptions.
• Handle procurement logistics, remote delivery, and vendor coordination.
5. Security & Compliance:
• Monitor and maintain endpoint security (e.g., antivirus, firewall, encryption) across all devices.
• Support the enforcement of remote security practices and IT compliance requirements.
• Assist with periodic security audits and risk assessments.
6. Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain detailed IT documentation including SOPs, ticket logs, access logs, and asset inventory.
• Prepare reports on IT support metrics, incidents, and asset utilization.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2+ years of IT support or system admin experience, preferably in a remote environment.
• Proficiency in managing both Windows and Mac systems, cloud tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365), and basic networking.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Freshdesk, Zendesk) and IT asset tracking tools.
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high levels of accuracy and confidentiality.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with identity and access management platforms (e.g., Okta, Azure AD).
• Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) tools.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR).
