This role is for one of the Weekdays clients Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales revenue and profitability for the Plant category.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends customer preferences and competitive dynamics within the Plant category.
Source and onboard highquality vendors and suppliers for Plants Plant pots and Flower products ensuring a diverse and attractive product assortment.
Negotiate favorable terms pricing and contracts with vendors to maximize margins while maintaining competitive market pricing.
Collaborate with marketing operations and procurement teams to ensure smooth of category initiatives and promotional campaigns.
Monitor inventory levels sales performance and product offerings to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
Lead product development initiatives including new product launches packaging design and quality assurance processes.
Implement effective merchandising strategies and visual displays to enhance the instore presentation and appeal of plant products.
Train and develop the sales team on product knowledge selling techniques and customer service standards related to the Plant category.
Stay updated on industry trends regulatory requirements and best practices incorporating them into the business strategy for the Plant category.
Desired Skills & Experience Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field (Master s degree preferred).
5 years of experience in category management product management or retail operations preferably with a focus on Plant products.
Proven success in driving sales and profitability in a retail environment with a focus on category growth and expansion.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build solid relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills able to turn data into actionable insights and initiatives.
Creative mindset with a passion for product innovation and development.
Leadership experience with proven success in team development and management.
