As the collective voice of the animal rights movement in India, FIAPO is the catalyst that protects the rights and interests of animals at local, regional and national levels - through education, research, mobilisation, training, and direct action. It has 184 members in over 90 cities across the country.Essential Qualifications ● Graduate in Law / Political Science/ Public Administration● Minimum two years of experience of working with government administrative authorities and departments at district and State level● Knowledge of English, Punjabi and Local Languages● Excellent communication skills● Basic skills in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and G-suite.● Understanding of project management, including planning, budgeting, implementation & monitoring.● Knowledge of local language is essentialDesirable ● Knowledge of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, Indian Penal Code and Code of criminal Procedure would be preferred● Previous experience in animal health sector would be an advantage● Knowledge of Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals functioning would be favored● Able to influence local leaders and administration● Skills/ experience in advocacy would be preferred● Knowledge of baseline surveys would be usefulDuties & Key responsibilities o Accountable for planning, budgeting, allocation of resources, implementing, monitoring progress.o Responsible for keeping stakeholders informed throughout the projecto Manage and support teams in day-to-day activities.o Communicate effectively with concerned stakeholderso Conduct regular meetings with concerned stakeholderso Ensure all project activities are on time and within budget.o Provide information/secondary data related to status of SPCA in the districtso Carry out baseline, including developing tools, data management, analysis and reporting.o Organise meetings, workshops, seminars, in-situ trainings with stakeholders on various animal cruelty issues and its related Acts, Rules, Regulations, Guidelines, etc.o Develop capacity building strategies including training modules around Act, Rules, Regulations, Guidelines on animal crueltyo Develop protocols on various animal cruelty responseso Promote and support animal welfare through networking with volunteers, animal activists.o Support FIAPO’s other teams to generate case studies along with relevant pictures and videoso Carry other work assigned by the line managerHow to apply Interested candidates should send their resume with full contact details, current and expected CTC/salary.
