JD for Agile Coach
Agile coach helps organization, teams, and individuals in building Agile mindset using Agile principles and practices through coaching, facilitation, mentoring and change managements skills
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Coaching and mentoring agile teams
- Agile Maturity assessment and enabling team to continuously improve
- Train teams (RTEs, scrum masters, product owners) to adopt agile working practices
- Value stream identification, value stream analysis and value stream mapping,
- Mapping OKRs/ Organization goals to Execution at Portfolio, ART and Team Levels
- Facilitating ART Launch
- Execution of Kaizens in ART release for efficiency improvement
- Working with Leadership to establish Lean Portfolio Management group
- Conduct Big room trainings, brainstorming session and various SAFe Workshops like Inspect & Adapt, Stakeholder identification, QMS alignment etc.
- Define revised org structure based on Agile
- Stakeholder management, influencing and running project governance, change management and benefits realization
- Model Agile behavior & mindset and able to coach leaders and managers in empowerment and servant leadership-based management of teams and team-members
- Use a variety of Agile facilitation, mentoring, coaching, and teaching techniques in individual and team settings to help introduce/ improve on Agile mindset, practices, and tools.
- Lead the development of a culture where development team and operations work together for continuous delivery of value using Dev Ops principles and practices
- Solid exposure to the product-platform ways of working in an Agile environment.
- Conducting team agility assessments effectively to evaluate and drive potential improvement areas in the Agile teams
- Able to apply systems thinking to measure, analyze, and remove impediments across the delivery value stream
- Actively scans the external environment to stay abreast of, and create internal awareness of new trends in Agile frameworks, concepts and capabilities
- Setup and drive Communities of Practices (Co P) that help enable sharing best practices across the organization
Required Skills:
- Overall 10-15 years of total experience including significant experience being a Scrum Master and 4-6 years in Agile Coaching
- Full time MBA / Engineering / equivalent
- Software development experience is preferred
- One or more of certifications such as SAFe, Le SS, CSP, PSM-II, CEC, SPC, ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF is a plus
- Knowledge and experience of other agile, lean and Dev Ops approaches (e. G., XP, Kanban, TDD, continuous integration, continuous delivery, automation, etc.)
- Coaching skills at different levels of the Organizations (Portfolio, ART and Teams) and Leadership
- Should be aware and leverages a rich set of facilitation, training and coaching tools, and models and knows when to apply them
- Should have experience in implementing one or more Scaling Agile frameworks.
- Effectively able to drive learning culture through workshops, meetings, and gamification techniques
- Has a deep understanding of communication, group dynamics and organizational culture
- Should have formal and/or informal education about coaching and strong mentor relationships
- Experience in product backlog management tools is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in Client Facing role
- Experience in Automotive/ Auto-ancillary industry is preferred
Other Requirements:
- Base location should be Bangalore or candidate should be willing to relocate to Bangalore
- Willingness and ability to take initiatives and learn independently
- Willingness to travel to client office as required
