ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to assess the company network, technical requirements and outline network solutions.
- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN), performance, availability, and overall functionality
- Install, configure, manage, and support network infrastructure devices (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless AP's, SSL VPN, AWS/Azure/GCP networks, DNS/DHCP/ Nutanix hyperconverged, VMWare servers, etc.)
- Administration of Palo Alto Networks firewalls to ensure information security, work closely with the Security team
- Perform as Tier 3 escalation and troubleshooting cloud and on-premises networks for day-to-day support
- Troubleshooting network and firewall-related issues in GCP and AWS cloud platforms
- Design and Deploy network infrastructure in corporate offices and factories with MDFs/IDFs and Aps
- Develop and implement solutions to automate network management processes to meet with our network security standards as well as compliance requirements
- Monitor network performance and integrity
- Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
- Communicate with users and business partners when needed
- Prepare technical documentation describing new networking frameworks, approaches, and toolkits.
- Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
- Provide On-call support for production operations
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Industry-related experience as Network Engineer for medium to large business
- Must have working experience in deployment of network solutions for medium to large IT enterprise network
- Expert knowledge in design, implementation and troubleshooting Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki, and Aryaka network switches and firewall
- Strong experience with on-premises, cloud-enabled, and cloud-enabled SD-WAN architectures.
- Solid background in network administration and architecture
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols
- Expert level knowledge of Cisco security products including ASA firewalls and IPS (both appliances and modules)
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments
- Familiarity with access control models and network security
- Good understanding of NAT, Internet gateway and transit gateway concepts
- Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g., Python, Perl)
- Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS)
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, syslog and analysis tools such as Splunk and Logic Monitor
- An analytical mind with a problem-solving and ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to take quick decisions while working independently
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and certifications
- 8+ Years of experience as a Network Engineer in designing and implementing of network solutions
- AWS, Azure and GCP experience, and certifications preferred
- Professional certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCDP) preferred
The work hours will be in CST (US Central Time Zone). Let us assume 8 hours per day (9 AM CST – 5 PM CST).
