Job Description Product Sales Specialist – Cybersecurity Location: Pune   Job Summary: The Product Sales Specialist – Cybersecurity, is a key technical sales role, responsible for driving sales of cybersecurity solutions.

With deep knowledge of cybersecurity products, the PSS provides expertise, advice, and demonstrations to help customers understand how these solutions meet their security needs.

This role works closely with the account management, Sales, Pre-sales and engineering teams, playing a critical role in the technical aspect of sales engagements, from discovery to closing.

  The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity sales or related technical fields.

They should have an in-depth understanding of cybersecurity trends, threats, and compliance requirements.

This person will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and contribute to the company’s cybersecurity product roadmap based on customer feedback and market demands.

  Key Responsibilities: 1.

Product and Industry Expertise:    - Act as the primary expert for the company’s cybersecurity product portfolio, including firewall solutions, intrusion detection systems (IDS), endpoint protection, Identity and Access Management (IDAM), encryption, and cloud security.

   - Stay updated on cybersecurity threats, industry trends, and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

   - Conduct or assist in-depth product demonstrations and proof-of-concept sessions to show the effectiveness and value of the cybersecurity solutions.

  2. Customer Engagement:    - Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify new cybersecurity opportunities.

   - Work directly with customers to understand their security challenges, compliance requirements, and risk profiles.

   - Propose tailored solutions that meet customers’ specific cybersecurity needs, integrating with their existing technology environments.

  3. Sales Support:    - Assist in building cybersecurity-focused sales strategies for accounts, leveraging technical knowledge to highlight the product’s value.

   - Provide pre-sales and post-sales support, including responding to technical questions, creating proposals, and addressing customer concerns.

   - Work with the broader sales team to close deals by providing technical validation and product expertise during the sales cycle.

  4. Solution Design and Integration:    - Engage in the design of customer-specific security architectures that align with their business objectives and compliance requirements.

   - Offer advice on best practices for implementation, ensuring seamless integration with the customer’s existing infrastructure.

Customer Success and Training:    - Provide training sessions and webinars to customers and internal sales teams on cybersecurity threats, product features, and new updates.

   - Ensure customers are fully enabled and educated on product capabilities, fostering long-term relationships and loyalty.

  6. Market Intelligence and Feedback:    - Gather market insights and customer feedback to inform product management teams about future enhancements or new product opportunities.

   - Act as a thought leader by providing input on cybersecurity market shifts and influencing product development based on real-world customer needs.

  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:    - Work closely with marketing, engineering, and product teams to ensure product messaging aligns with customer needs and competitive differentiators.

   - Coordinate with technical teams to troubleshoot deployment issues and ensure customer success post-sale.

    - Five or more years of experience in cybersecurity sales, technical consulting, or security engineering roles.

  - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical sales environment, ideally within cybersecurity.

  - Technical Knowledge:   - Understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001).

  - Experience with cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and cloud security.

  - Familiarity with security operations (SOC), vulnerability management, and incident response.

  - Certifications (preferred but not required):   - CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent cybersecurity certifications will be a plus.

  - Skills:   - Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  - Problem-solving mindset with the ability to design tailored solutions for customers’ unique cybersecurity needs.

  - Ability to build strong relationships with customers, becoming a trusted advisor.

  - Education:   - Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, BCA or related field.
