Job Description : -
Responsibility:
- Create and maintain BOM and EBOM structures in Teamcenter for all car components, including chassis, engine, transmission, interior, and exterior components.
- Manage BOM and EBOM changes due to design changes, engineering changes, or supplier changes.
- Interpret intent on Engineering Change Notices, and change requested to determine the appropriate structure/content of e BOMs m BOMs based on inputs.
- Coordinate with engineers to ensure that all BOM and EBOM structures in Teamcenter reflect the latest design changes.
- Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure that all BOMs and EBOMs are feasible and can be manufactured efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure that all BOM components are available and can be purchased at a competitive price.
- Identify and resolve BOM and EBOM issues, such as missing components, duplicate components, or incorrect component specifications.
- Support workflow processes to create item master records from CAD objects.
- Develop and implement BOM and EBOM best practices to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the BOM and EBOM process.
- Provide training on BOM and EBOM management to other employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in BOM and EBOM management, specifically for automotive products.
- Experience with Teamcenter software.
- Experience with automotive manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Experience with product configuration management.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with automotive CAD software.
- Experience with automotive manufacturing software.

- The BOM and EBOM Engineer for the Automotive Industry plays a critical role in the development and production of cars.

- The BOM and EBOM Engineer must also be able to stay up-to-date on the latest automotive technologies and trends.
