About Newton School of Technology:
Newton School of Technology (NST) is a new-age institution redefining technical education in India. Founded by IIT alumni, NST offers a 4-year B. Tech in Computer Science and AI, focused on hands-on learning and deep industry integration. Within two years, over 93% of students have secured paid internships with companies like Razorpay, Sarvam AI, and DRDO, along with global exposure through tech treks to Singapore and Silicon Valley. Led by a distinguished faculty comprising ICPC World Finalists and ex-professionals from ISRO, Microsoft, Make My Trip, and several other leading tech organizations, NST is building a scalable, high-impact model that produces industry-ready talent for the world's most advanced technology roles.
Role Description:
The Campus Head is the single point of accountability for every outcome on the campus - strategic, operational, academic, and cultural. You will hire and lead the entire team, establish all systems and processes, and then run and scale the institution.
This is not a coordination or oversight role. It requires someone who can lead from the front: set direction, make hard decisions, build high-performing teams, manage complex institutional relationships, and deliver results across every function.
Responsibilities:
Campus Strategy
Define and drive the campus strategy in alignment with NST’s vision, goals, and annual plans.
Make high-stakes decisions on resource allocation, priorities, and trade-offs across functions.
Report to NST’s central leadership and represent the campus in all strategic discussions.
Operations Management
Oversee all day-to-day campus operations: academics, student lifecycle management, hostel operations, facilities, safety, and campus services.
Lead the end-to-end setup of the Bengaluru campus for next year & beyond - physical infrastructure, systems, facilities, and technology.
Build robust operational systems that scale with the campus and reduce single points of failure.
Manage the campus budget, control costs, and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
Drive continuous process improvement to raise operational standards across all functions.
People Leadership & Team Building
Build the entire campus team - hiring across operations, student progression, placements, hostel management, and all support functions.
Lead, develop, and retain senior talent across functions; build a culture of ownership, accountability, and excellence.
Scale the team thoughtfully as the campus grows, creating resilient, self-sufficient functions at every level.
Academic & Student Outcomes
Partner with NST’s academic teams to ensure rigorous, high-quality curriculum delivery, pedagogy, and content standards on campus.
Drive student success across every stage of the journey: admissions, onboarding, academics, progression, and placement.
Create a campus environment where students are engaged, motivated, and positioned to achieve aspirational outcomes.
Stakeholder Management
Serve as NST’s primary institutional representative to the partner university - managing relationships with senior leadership including Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Deans, and Board members.
Build a structured, long-term partnership with the university: coordinate on academic governance, program delivery, regulatory compliance, and joint initiatives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with NST’s central teams (academics, placements, product, marketing, and finance) to align campus priorities with the broader institutional agenda.
Placement & Industry Connect
Partner with the placement and training cell to drive internship and final placement outcomes for every student cohort.
Track placement metrics closely and create accountability across teams for achieving placement goals.
Requirements:
Minimum 8+ years of experience in category management, general management, strategy, business lead, operations lead, or similar roles.
Proven experience in building teams, leading cross-functional collaboration, and managing teams effectively over time.
Goal-driven and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
Balance between long-term process-building and short-term problem-solving.
Empathy for students with a commitment to aspirational outcomes.
