Position: Design Engineer – Civil (Hydro Projects)
Experience: 5 to 10 Years

Role Summary:
The Design Engineer (Civil) will be responsible for civil design and detailed engineering for hydro power projects including preparation, review, and coordination of design deliverables as per applicable standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of civil design and detailed engineering drawings for hydro projects
Design of hydro-related structures such as intake, spillway, canal, powerhouse, tunnels, surge shaft, penstock supports, and other allied structures
Preparation of design calculations, technical reports, and BOQ support documents
Coordination with multidisciplinary teams (Hydraulic, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Geotechnical)
Review of drawings, specifications, and design submissions from contractors/consultants
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements
Support in resolving design-related site queries and technical clarifications
Assist in design optimization and value engineering where required
Key Skills Required:
Strong experience in civil design for hydropower projects
Knowledge of RCC/steel structure design concepts and hydro infrastructure planning
Proficiency in design tools such as Auto CAD , Civil 3 D (preferred) Familiarity with analysis/design software (STAAD Pro / ETABS / SAP2000 – preferred)
Understanding of relevant IS codes and international standards (as applicable)
Good coordination and communication skills
Educational Qualification: B. Tech / BE in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
Preferred Experience:
Experience in detailed design of hydropower components and associated civil structures
Exposure to design review, technical documentation, and client/PMC coordination
