Role: SAP GTS Functional Consultant (Brownfield E4 H Migration – Testing Focus)
Location: Remote (Must be available during Central European Time (CET) hours)
Project Overview
- A global SAP customer is in the midst of a GTS V11 to GTS E4 H brownfield migration, moving from an AWS-hosted landscape to SAP Private Cloud.
- This short-term engagement focuses on test execution and remediation support during critical migration phases, including Dev, QA, DR, Cutover, and Hypercare.
- The functional consultant will serve as the testing SME, working hand-in-hand with internal teams and external partners to identify gaps, manage defects, and ensure system readiness.
Responsibilities
- Test Execution: Execute functional test cases provided by the internal SAP IT/Functional teams
- Defect Management: Log, track, and retest functional defects across systems using tools like JIRA and QMetry
- Remediation Support: Analyze failures, suggest fixes, and assist in coordination with development teams
- Functional Analysis: Validate results, document evidence, and communicate test outcomes
- Collaboration: Coordinate with functional consultants, security teams, and business stakeholders to close out test phases
- Knowledge Transfer: Support documentation, knowledge handoff, and training around testing, security role mapping, and remediation specifics for GTS E4 H
Required Experience
- 1–2 full brownfield GTS upgrade/migration projects (preferably from GTS V11 to E4 H)
Deep knowledge of:
- SAP GTS process testing
- Security roles redefinition
- Fiori-based execution vs classic T-Code usage
- Brownfield migration remediation phases
- End-user training and functional testing process familiarity
- Ability to operate independently and work with cross-functional and technical teams
Nice to Have
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Familiar with JIRA, QMetry, and MS Teams for collaboration
- Exposure to security & compliance testing within GTS
