Role Overview

The FICO + Tax Consultant is responsible for helping design and implement the FICO module (with strong focus on CO) as part of a continued global rollout of an SAP S/4HANA environment. The candidate must have hands-on knowledge of implementing India tax, and how to properly configure SAP S/4 HANA to support a rollout for India legal entities as well as extensive experience integrating with other SAP modules. The ideal candidate has accounting experience and/or the ability to illustrate how the configuration meets accounting standards. This role is an integral part of a large SAP S/4HANA implementation for a global Fintech company.




Responsibilities
Extend the existing FICO module to cover additional legal entities as part of global rollout of SAP S/4HANA
Help design and implement the SAP FICO module with focus on the Controlling module
Responsible for ensuring tax is configured correctly within the environment taking into account country and local tax requirements, special focus on addressing the complexities of India tax
Integrate FICO with other SAP modules
Create FICO substitution and validation rules
Follow a structured way of managing the capture and triage of opportunities throughout the entire implementation lifecycle
Translate client objectives and requirements into technical solutions
Exhibit subject matter expertise to develop innovative as well as out-of-the-box solutions
Collaborate with team members to ensure an on-time project delivery that meets the accounting business needs based on the pre-defined scope



Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:
7+ years of overall SAP experience
3+ years of Finance industry experience
5+ Years of SAP FICO Experience
End-to-end SAP Functional Solution architect for at least 2 Projects
Strong understanding of S/4HANA, Fiori, and SAP best practices
1+ S/4HANA implementation projects
Accounting experience / accounting degree preferred


Specialized Knowledge, skills, and/or Abilities:
FICO expert with expertise in Solution Design, Configuration, Implementation and Support of the FI and CO functions with strong expertise in the Controlling module.
Must have deep knowledge of the legal requirements for tax configuration (especially for India)
Experience integrating with other SAP modules
Expertise creating FICO substitution and validation rules
Knowledge of all the major business processes and associated functionality in S/4HANA for the Controlling module
Experience designing and configuring the processes in Finance industry
Solid functional knowledge in Batch Management, Variant Configuration, Interfaces, IDOCs etc. as it relates to FICO
Strong exposure with the business processes around Finance and Controlling: Accounts Payable, Receivable, Asset, Reporting, Cost Accounting, Profitability anaysis among others
Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution
Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
