Role:Synopsys is looking for a Credit and Collections Professional whose primary role will be to perform collection of payment on customers and assess customer's creditworthiness. This position will report to the Corporate Credit Manager.Responsibilities: Perform daily customer collections activities to maximize timely collections and minimize write-offs.Negotiate repayment plans with delinquent customersContinuous reconciliation of customer and GL accountsProvide standard and ad-hoc reporting to management, such as monthly A/R aging reports and related summaries, risk analysis and assist with quarterly audit reports.Forecast cash collections, analyze historic payment trendsPerform credit analysis of new and existing customers dailyApprove and Recommend credit limits appropriate to risk profile through diligent risk assessment and monitoringHighlight significant credit risk and collection issues to senior managementReview contractual payment terms and approve or make recommendationsCoordinate with internal partners including Sales, Finance, Tax, OM and LegalAutomate systems and processes, update internal policies, procedures and controls, where necessaryEducation, Experience and Technical Skills: SAP, FSCM Collections Module a plusAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsProven track record for driving process efficiencies.Bachelor's degree in finance or related fieldM&A experience a plusAdditional Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels; excellent customer service skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced high volume environmentTeam player with excellent interpersonal skills who can collaborate effectively across multiple functions to achieve goals on timeExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to manage projects to completion, on time and under pressureMust be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities, backgrounds and experienceStrong negotiating skillsStrong in analyzing financials statements and evaluation of dynamics impacting customer credit profileStrong ability to provide a succinct and articulate credit analysis and recommendation.
