About the roleGartner is looking for a well-rounded and motivated senior developer to join its HR Technology team which is responsible for developing web-based applications and integrations to support its HR Technology applications.What you will doProvide daily operational support for production systems including providing on-call supportIn conjunction with IT/ extended technical teams and third parties, you will build and support all integrations in and out Workday System.Collaborate with HRIS and Business teams to provide IT solutions to Business requirementsDesign applications/integrations and presents design to application leads for reviewPerform coding and/or configuration to meet documented needs, utilizing standard procedures and techniques.You’ll Investigate and manage integration support issues across the data flows, upstream/ downstream Workday through to resolution.Test, implement, document, and maintain system components based on specifications. Also modifies, tests, and troubleshoots existing tools and utilities.Support the HRIT team members in technical deliverables and provide mentorship in technical skills and HR domain knowledgeDemonstrate familiarity and strong working knowledge of the relevant programming languages and tools for the application area.Demonstrate understanding of application development methods, including agile and waterfall, as well as the fundamentals of requirement specifications, design, coding and testing of business applications systemsHas a strong working understanding of installed systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve many problems on the existing systems supportedDevelop a basic understanding of the industry and the products and services of the companySelect appropriate work procedures or approaches to address technical challenges, consistent with appropriate standards and policiesWhat you will needMinimum of 6 years of Experience in HR Applications like Workday, SAP, SuccessFactors, Oracle EBS.4 years of experience in Workday HR, designing, building, and testing Workday HCM integrations to third party vendors including payroll and benefit providers.Experience with Workday integration tools i.e., Custom Reports, EIB, Studio, CCW, PICOF, and PECIExperience in programming in XML and XSLTDemonstrated ability to design and develop Workday integrationsUnderstanding of integration patterns, SOA and Web Service TechnologiesExperience with integrating applications via web service APIs - SOAP and RESTExperience managing security for WorkdayDevelopment experience SQL and PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL databases is preferredExperience in leading teams and HRIT processes is preferred#LI-SS9Who are we?Gartner delivers actionable, objective insight to executives and their teams.
