RESPONSIBILITIES JOB SCOPEThe teamThe successful candidate will be part of the Risk & Compute squad within Global Credit Markets and Equity Technology and Digital Solutions team, part of the wider FM technology organization. We support Corporate Finance, Equities and Credit Trading business lines.We are a business-first team with diverse skillset across trading, coverage, risk, product management and technology, who work with frontline, risk, MO and ops SMEs to build tech solutions to business problems and are ably supported by BAs, developers and QA from our squads.Although the primary focus for this role will be delivering pricing, risk and analytics for Credit flow, loan trading and Financing Risk, the role holder will be expected to work flexibly x-asset on three areas of focus, and apply cross-learning effectively:Market and Reference dataPricing, Risk (trading and banking book)MI and Analytics (incl. predictive analytics, ML solutions)Candidate background - The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience With banks or product companies with strong business analysis skillsWorking on solution delivery either supporting business directly, or as a part of wider system rolloutsRelevant experiences in financial markets or corporate finance technology coveringBusiness analysis in an agile settingGathering requirements and writing clear functional specifications / stories and getting them deliveredDelivering interface analysis and data modellingTranslating requirements / business problems into a clear set of technical specifications forming a solution. Maintain JIRA backlog, establish traceability to business vision and objectives, act as SME for usersObtain stakeholder buy-in and sign-off on business requirementsAdhere to change management standards & procedures, including documenting and capturing all artefacts (Requirements, FSDs, Data Dictionaries, Sign-offs, Minutes of meetings) required by project governanceManaging and removing impediments and providing pro-active day-to-day support to users across key owned / supported systems / interfacesAbility to work under ambiguous business environments to provide clarity and facilitate discussions to reach consensus/business decisionsGood problem-solving capabilities and executionAbility to drive continuous improvementStrong scope and accountability managementStrong regular communication highlighting impediments and requesting help where required / reporting to management on progressGood understanding of Loans products front-to-backGood knowledge of Financial Market processes (Trade processing, Life cycling, Risk, back office, etc…).Functional skillsStrong corporate loan products knowledge on origination, structuring, lifecycling: term loans, RCF, bridge loans. Experience with specialized finance products (LAF, PEF, Shipping finance, Aviation finance) highly desired.Familiar with corporate lending lifecycle, documentation (credit agreements, spreads, scorecards, covenants)Knowledge of SCB reference and static data stores like SCI, PCT2 highly desirableRisk (banking and trading books) and Data (Reference, Market, Trade) Analytics expertise. This includes pricing, sensitivity computation for credit products like bonds, CDS, loans, VaR, SVaR and stress loss computation, ability to read, interpret and model term sheets and Credit agreementsIn-depth understanding of data models (incl FpML) for corporate loans, bondsPreferred: ESG: Assessment/identification of ESG loans and bonds, ESG and climate risk rating data for loans and bonds, data for assessment of adherence to Poseidon principlesTechnology skillsExperience with working on UX prototypes using Balsamiq or similar. Experience in HCD highly preferred.Experience with BI tools, dashboards (both static and user forms)Strong data munging skills including SQL, Python and GuI tools (eg. Dremio)Ability to quickly learn new tools/systems (risk, transaction booking systems) and understanding technology and functional designsExtensive experience with loan and collateral systems across the lifecycle, linkages, terminologies: Origination, servicing, monitoring and risk management, trading, reportingExtensive experience with market and traded credit risk systems and conceptsExperience with integrating and using vendor data sources: market data, reference data incl. ratings, event data (news, legal filings), risk indicatorsStrong knowledge of data modelling, interface designStrong knowledge on basic BA toolkit: Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, JIRA, ConfluenceUp-to-date on latest app development paradigms: microservices, containerization, APIsBasic development capabilities (python e.g.) to read code, build ad-hoc, enhance tactical tools. Soft skillsFluent in English (speaking and writing)Strong interpersonal skills good team spirit. Able to influence to drive work using informal pathways.Strong communication and presentation skills able to tailor messages for highest impact depending on audience (technical vs business) and seniorityProactive, self-starter, autonomous able to independently drive analysis, design, development, delivery in greenfield areas.Self-motivated, multi-tasking, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution oriented with proven resultsCurious willing to dive into the details and understand concepts, graph relationships, interdependencies effectively, but also judicious on time spent vs materiality/benefitBusiness mindset able to triage asks, justify priority based on cost/benefit, and demonstrate value using defined metrics.
