Falcon Gas is expanding its operations within Zambia, and we are seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager/Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong operations and analytical background, exceptional proficiency in Excel, and the ability to provide detailed reports and business insights. Principal Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Head of Business Operations and Supply Chain for Africa and the country’s Business Head on operations implementation, analysis and reporting.
Assist with operational strategy implementation and report on progress.
Identify and recommend operational efficiencies. Data Analysis and Reporting
Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to support decision-making processes.
Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and business performance.
Ensure high reporting standards with accurate, timely, and detailed data presentations. Costing and Financial Analysis
Build and maintain detailed costings for various operational activities.
Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives and new projects.
Conduct regular financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements. Operational Support
Assist in the development and implementation of operational strategies and plans.
Map and improve operational processes.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of operational processes and suggest improvements.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives. Excel Proficiency
Utilize advanced Excel functions and tools to analyze data and create comprehensive reports.
Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets to support various operational and financial activities.
Train and support team members in Excel best practices and advanced functionalities. Business Insights and Recommendations
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support business growth and efficiency.
Collaborate with management to develop strategic plans and initiatives.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner. Qualification
Qualification in Business Administration, Finance, or a related science field. Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Experience in the LPG industry would be a distinct advantage.
Proven experience in an analytical role, preferably within operations or finance.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy in reporting and analysis.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in building financial/operational models (budgets vs actuals) and business cases is highly desirable.
