Description You will be a key member of the engineering squad involved with building a Next Gen sanctions platform which is part of the Transaction Surveillance Tribe.
Transaction Surveillance is an integral part of Cash Management and has been established as a first line of defence function to build appropriate controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
Within that the Sanctions and Embargo platform is responsible for checking all payments coming to the bank are checked for sanctions and embargo violations.

and above Your key responsibilities Work as part of a Scrum team to help build the next generation sanctions platform along with partner vendor teams.
Help deploy and optimize the new sanctions platforms in the bank’s Google Cloud platform (GCP) or any other cloud platform.
Help integrate the core sanctions platform (next Gen sanction platform) running on GCP with systems of Record or other interfaces hosted on-perm (outside GCP, but within Deutsche Bank network).
This will involve integrating existing systems of record (databases), streaming systems like Kafka, REST APIs, messaging systems and front ends.
Contribute in developing tooling to evaluate the performance of the new sanctions platform as more and more business flows are on-boarded to it.
Help in migration of existing sanctions platform to new sanctions platform As part of a development team, collaborate with other team members to understand requirements, analyses and refine stories, design solutions, implement them, test them, and support them in production (in Dev Ops style).

Your skills and experience At least 7 years’ experience in IT in related areas.
Specifically, having worked on at least one large project of 3 years duration continuously.
Experience in designing and deploying applications on any large cloud platform (GCP – Google Cloud Platform preferred).
Experience in integrating applications with different communication protocols and data formats together.
Exposed and involved in all SDLC phases (Conception, requirements, design, development, test, and rollout).
Skills (Must)Java, Spring, developing enterprise applications / web applications in Java / any cloud environment.
Proficient in Full stack skillset.
Experience in integrating applications / interfaces via REST APIs, database interfaces, streaming systems like Kafka, messaging.
Advanced knowledge of data schemas like XML, JSON, CSV etc and APIs and frameworks used to process such data.
Experience developing applications in Cloud environment (docker, Kubernetes, micro services, cloud infrastructure etc.)Proficiency in SQL queries etc.
Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Helm deployments, automatic test frameworks.
Has mentored junior team members on a team.
Skills (Nice to have)Python, Spacy, Scikit-learn, Py Torch, Google Tensor Flow etc.
Used Machine learning / AI to solve business problems.
Experience in integrating legacy system with modern cloud applications.
Methodology / Process / Domain Expertise / Soft Skills Comfortable to work with agile software methodology / agile working teams (must).
Exposure to Confluence / Jira agile tools – a plus.
Ability to work in big teams with diverse cultural backgrounds across multiple geographies (must).
Knowledge of finance domain / banks / payments standards a plus (not a must).
