Job Description : The Data Developer will be responsible for data migration, data engineering, data modeling, and ensuring data quality across a Community Information System (CIS).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and optimizing large datasets, with experience in databases such as Oracle, MS SQL and Postgre SQL.

Responsibilities : - Design and implement data migration strategies to transfer data from legacy systems to the new CIS.

- Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.

- Create and optimize data models to support the system's functional and performance requirements.

- Ensure data quality by implementing data validation, cleansing, and error-checking procedures.

- Collaborate with the development team to integrate data solutions within the overall system architecture.

- Monitor and maintain the performance of database systems, ensuring high availability and responsiveness.

- Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.

- Conduct data analysis and generate reports to support decision-making and system improvements.

- Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, providing ongoing support and maintenance.

Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data development, data engineering, or a related role.

- Proven experience in data migration, data modeling, and data quality assurance.

- Expertise in working with database systems, particularly Oracle, MS SQL and Postgre SQL.

- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data manipulation and optimization techniques.

- Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

- Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.

- Experience with GIS data and spatial databases is a plus.

- Relevant certifications in data management, data engineering, or specific database technologies are a plus.
