Key Responsibilities: Collaborates with and leads other product team members (UX, architects, and product management) to create secure, reliable, scalable software solutions Writes custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, test cases, to do destructive testing to ensure adequate resiliency in production Can lead team of less experienced Full-stack developers As lead, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and evolving the cloud infrastructure of web applications.
Collaborate with the other IT teams or departments to execute tasks such as migrating web applications to AWS and/or other relevant tasks as assigned.
Identifies unsecured code areas and implements fixes as they are discovered with or without tooling Identifies, implements, and shares technical solutions that can be used across the portfolio Identifies product enhancements to create a better experience for the end users Research and/or investigate technical issues impacting the organization and recommend solutions Provides application support for software running in production Proactively reviews the Performance and Capacity of all aspects of production: code, infrastructure, data, and message processing Triages high priority issues and outages as they arise Participates in learning activities around agile software development and development core practices, and mentors other team members in these best practices WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS): Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field is required 3 years of software and development experience with a minimum and 3 years of hands-on experience working with Services and Integration Technologies supporting payments platforms.
Hands on experience in Java development in ahigh-volume transactional environment.
Experience in Continuous Integration, TDD.
Knowledgeable in Java internals, JVM tuning and troubleshooting.
Experience working on Spring Boot Framework, Microservices, RESTful APIs, Apigee, JBOSS or other containers, Oracle/SQL.
Experience with JBoss, Websphere, Tomcat application servers Experience in designing and implementing RESTful services using XML/JSON Experience creating web-based application UIs using Angular, Bootstrap, HTML, Java Script, CSS, and related tools.
Understanding of Object modeling and deciphering custom and vendor supplied schemas.
Experience with large scale load balanced physical architectures to support consumer facing websites.
Knowledge of secure coding and PCI standards.
Strong AWS experience with background in API, Microservices development.
Experience with the core AWS services like Lambdas, S3, SQS, SNS, EC2, Code Pipeline, Athena, Dynamo DB, RDS.
Strong understanding of core AWS services and apply best practices regarding security and scalability.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and virtual networks from a cloud point of view Knowledge and/or experience in working with 12-factor methodology and understanding its benefits, and able to demonstrate appropriate patterns to other team members Experience deploying applications in Open Shift/ROSA (or other Docker / Kubernetes container) Candidate should have hands on experience of writing, maintaining UI and API automated tests written in Java, Java Script, C#, Python using various open-source testing libraries like Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, etc.
Able to independently create and maintain automation test jobs and execute as part of a CI/CD pipeline.
Experience of working in distributed agile teams using agile frameworks such as SCRUM , SAFe, XP etc.
Knowledge of CI/CD and Dev Ops practices; with tools such as Git/Gitlab, Jira/Version One/Agility, Jenkins/Terkton, Gradle, Ansible Knowledge and/or experience with messaging solutions such as Active MQ or Kafka.
Ability to clearly communicate and coordinate with peers, product owners, and cross functional teams and design a relevant and time to market solution.
Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and evolving technologies.
