Role and Responsibilities: Monitor and troubleshoot database instances.

Perform root-cause analysis in response to database environment events.

Identify opportunities for improved system performance and process improvements.

Perform code reviews, and assist teams across the organization with query optimization.

Modify and build automated environment installation and setup processes.

Serve as a SME for specific technical topics and team operations.

Architect database high availability and database backup and restore processes.

Review and execute data manipulation scripts created by internal and external team members.

Build external networks to help accomplish team and company objectives.

Contribute to other team efforts as needed to support day-to-day database operations.

Complete infrastructure planning, provisioning, and maintenance tasks to ensure the required resources are available for application functionality Complete functionality reviews for services and technology that both internal and external teams want to use in the database environment.

Create and drive project solutions that are consistent with stated objectives and guidelines.

Provide guidance to other DBAs on technology topics.

Recommend new technologies and processes that can be used to manage database environments.

Participate in production support on-call rotation to triage and resolve critical issues outside of business hours.

Job Requirement : 8 years of experience as a Database Administrator working with SQL Server 2017 or higher.

3 years of experience configuring and maintaining Always On Availability Groups.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or another related field, or equivalent.

experience in IT related fields.

Strong knowledge of cloud computing computing concepts and infrastructure management.

Expert knowledge of common database administration tasks such as backup & restore, integrity checks, disaster recovery, and security.

Proven experience in performance tuning concepts.

Prior experience supporting database and application development teams.

Thorough knowledge reading and writing complex SQL scripts.

General knowledge reading and writing Powershell or other scripting technologies.

The ability to solve complex problems independently using analysis and research.

Strong communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide technical input both internally and externally.

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

Experience working in a PCI/SOX, or other compliance regulated environment.

General knowledge of at least one other database technology.

Ability to work on-call rotation.

Preferred: Masters degree in technology, engineering or related field General knowledge of Postgre SQL AWS RDS\Aurora Postgre SQL experience IAC tools, (Terraform, AWS Cloudformation)
