Role Title : Database Administration Lead Analyst Position Overview: Enterprise Database Services is looking for a Mongo DB Database Administrator who has extensive experience in designing and supporting Mongo DB databases with a strong understanding of database concepts, performance tuning, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

The ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues and different tuning techniques is required.

Responsibilities: Monitor and tune database performance.

Provide consultation to Application Development teams on tuning and best practices.

Extensive experience leading troubleshooting calls with various infrastructure and application teams.

Efficiently work with Mongo DB vendor to find root cause for complex database issues.

In-Depth knowledge of Mongo DB and ability to troubleshoot complex issues is a must.

In-depth knowledge in Linux and storage internals that influence database activity is a must.

Install and manage Mongo DB Software, build replica sets per requirements and standards.

Design and implement redundancy and fail-over strategies.

Design and implement backup and restoration strategies with the ability to restore to a point in time.

Apply Quarterly Patches and troubleshoot any issues with patching (requires good understanding of the internal processes).

Setup and manage Ops Manager Infrastructure, and setup monitoring using Ops Manager.

Automation of routine database operations using Ansible, with broad understanding of CI/CD tools.

Participate in 247 On-call support to resolve Incident tickets and be responsible for database availability.

Mentor team members to develop talent Qualifications Required Skills: Ability to stay very organized while managing multiple tasks and activities and takes initiative and is a self-starter.

Knowledge in Mongo DB Atlas is a plus Strong collaboration skills and experience working across multiple teams both within a division and enterprise-wide Strong interpersonal, problem solving, facilitation, and prioritization skills Strong technical acumen, able to ensure that technical solutions, strategies, practices, and governance deliver business and customer value Development experience with one or more modern scripting/automation languages (Ansible, Python, etc.) - preferred Strong Team Lead skills.

Required Experience & Education: 5 - 8 years of relevant experience with design/implementation of Mongo DB replica sets and sharded clusters.

5 years of hands-on experience with Automation tools and technologies like Ansible, Git Hub, and similar CI/CD technologies.

Energy, integrity, and strong work ethic Desired Experience: Location & Hours of Work Full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
