Role : Senior Data Engineer Location : Hyderabad - India Department : Information Technology (IT) Job Description : - Hands-on code development supporting various applications.

- Perform day-to-day monitoring and smooth running of all i BASIS databases and reporting.

- In the event of any failures, must be able to follow the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to resolve and recover the situation.

- In the event the issue falls outside the SOP, the candidate must have the ability to analyze and correlate the underlying components and identify the root cause.

- When necessary, escalate the issue to the next higher-level SME (Subject Matter Expert) - Provide support to issues/requests raised by i BASIS internal business users.

- Perform data modeling, analysis and reporting for a large scale Telecom data system using ODI.

- Understand and document requirements to build SAP-BI (Business Intelligence) Universes.

- Analyze large-scale systems and design solutions.

- Document solution designs clearly and update them when required.

- Creating Reporting using SAP-BI.

- Designing workflows and performing other tasks as assigned.

Preferred Technical Skills : - Strong knowledge in UNIX/Linux Operating Systems, including experience working with Linux/Unix/Shell scripts.

- Very strong knowledge and hands-on working experience with SQL (Oracle, Postgre SQL).

- Very experienced hands-on ETL developer with one of the ETL tools below : a.

Experienced ODI (Oracle Data Integrator) developer.

b.

Experienced Pentaho Data Integrator (PDI) developer.

- Very experienced in SAP BI building universes and complex BI reports - Experience with Tableau dashboards is a plus.

- Recent working experience in ETL and Data Warehouse development.

- Strong analytical capability in trouble-shooting and debugging skills that involving deep understanding of software, hardware, firmware and network layers/components.

Preferred Background : - Self-driven Data Engineer/Developer, who is a fast-learner and can push forward to get the job done is a must.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related experience in IT/IS, Operations and Dev Ops environment.

- 5 years of recent working experience in IT/IS environment directly working with engineering teams.

- 3 years of recent working experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.

- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

- Working knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or equivalent.

- Experience partnering with product and/or program management teams and servicing internal customers.

- Must be adept at analyzing large-scale systems and clearly documenting design solutions.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, are a MUST.

- Ability to be both an Individual Contributor and Team Player when necessary.

- Must be very well organized and attentive to details.
