About the Role :.

Procal Technologies is looking for a skilled Database Developer with a strong background in managing and migrating databases, especially from MSSQL to Postgre SQL.

In this role, you'll focus on database optimization, data structure management, and performance tuning.

You'll need hands-on coding and programming experience with SQL, Python, and Django while collaborating with various teams in a dynamic environment.

Additionally, you'll be expected to quickly grasp our existing infrastructure and help drive future expansions involving Google-based and Elastic-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities :.

- Manage, migrate, and optimize databases, particularly MSSQL to Postgre SQL.

- Design and maintain database schemas and optimize data structures for performance.

- Use SQL for querying and analyzing data in both MSSQL and Postgre SQL.

- Designs, develops, and maintains SQL Server databases, including data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization.

- Writes and optimizes SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application development and reporting needs.

- Provides hands-on development, support, maintenance, and enhancements as required.

- Researches and evaluates alternative solutions for expanding existing system functionality and participating in planned technology enhancement.

- Collaborate with teams to understand data management needs and implement strategies.

- Work with Python and the Django framework to maintain the web services gateway.

- Process and parse data from robot XML files for analysis.

- Quickly learn the current infrastructure, including Microsoft SQL databases like webride and ezw post-processing.

- Work closely with internal teams (Courtney's, Mark's, Calvin's) to ensure smooth data handling.

- Contribute to future infrastructure expansions, including Google-based and Elastic-based solutions.

- Advanced proficiency in SQL, C++, or Java, with a preference for more than one of these.

- SQL server administration experience, including knowing the basics of running Microsoft SQL Server - users, permission, backups, recovery, monitoring, and more.

- Ability to create SQL reports.

- Solid understanding of Oracle Database, knowledge of SQL Server Service Broker is a plus.

- Database tuning experience, database integration design and implementation, and management of database projects.

- Ability to work with a team in an Agile environment-you can address bugs with QA, plan schemas with engineering, and respond quickly to other business needs.

Required Skills : - Proven experience with MSSQL and Postgre SQL databases.

- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management.

- Experience in Python programming and working with the Django framework.

- Understanding of data processing and parsing XML data.

- Strong knowledge of database design principles and best practices.

- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- 5 -7 years of SQL, MSSQL expertise-write a query to do almost anything.

- 2 or more years of handling a big database environment with strong data analysis and analytical skills.

- Ability to quickly grasp existing database infrastructure and usage.

- Familiarity with collaborating across teams to ensure optimal data solutions.
