Job Description Role Purpose To ensure efficient inventory control, material availability, compliance, and cost optimization while maintaining accurate records, safe storage, and smooth coordination with purchase, production, quality, logistics and finance.
Key Responsibilities1.
Inventory & Stock Management Maintain optimum stock levels — avoid both shortage and excess.
Monitor RM, PM, consumables, spares, and finished goods.
Ensure FIFO/FEFO implementation wherever applicable.
Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile variances.2.
Material Receipt & Dispatch Ensure proper GRN process and documentation.
Coordinate inward inspection with QA/QC.
Control dispatch accuracy and documentation.
Prevent damages, losses, and pilferage.3.
Systems & Documentation Maintain SAP entries accurately and timely.
Track batch numbers, shelf life, traceability where required.
Maintain audit-ready documentation (internal & statutory).4.
Coordination & Communication Work closely with Purchase, Production, Finance, Logistics and QC teams.5.
Warehouse Operations Ensure proper storage layout and housekeeping.
Implement safety standards and statutory compliance.
Monitor manpower productivity in stores.6.
Cost & Efficiency Control Reduce inventory carrying cost.
Optimize space utilization.
Identify slow/non-moving inventory and propose disposal.7.
Compliance & Audit Support internal, external, ISO, and statutory audits.
Ensure regulatory compliance (safety, environmental, legal).8.
Team Management Train and supervise store staff.
Ensure discipline, accountability, and productivity.

Required Qualifications Graduate/Diploma in Supply Chain / Commerce 8–10+ years experience in manufacturing stores.

Strong ethics and accountability.
Language Requirement Fluency in English, Kannada, and Hindi (read, write, and speak).
