About the role :
As Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Quality Assurance and Quality Control function at the Valia site, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will also drive digital transformation, system excellence, and continuous improvement across processes and products.
Key responsibilities:
Systems and processes
Develop and implement QA/QC policies, systems, and procedures to ensure consistent product quality
Lead digital transformation initiatives within QA/QC, including automation, data analytics, and system integration
Strengthen and standardise customer response systems, ensuring timely, data-driven, and effective communication on quality matters
Oversee testing, inspection, and validation of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods
Drive implementation of new testing techniques, technologies, and methodologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Establish and implement robust QA mechanisms and control systems to prevent defects and ensure right-first-time quality
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Manage internal and external audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance process capability
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, R& D, and Supply Chain teams
Monitor, analyse, and present quality performance metrics to senior management
People and capability development
Build and nurture a high-performing QA/QC team
Drive upskilling initiatives and capability building across the function
Identify and develop future leaders within the QA/QC team
Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning
Who are we looking for?
Education
Bachelor’s or master's in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field
Experience
12-15 years of experience in QA/QC, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of quality systems, regulatory frameworks (ISO, GMP), and audit management
Experience in driving digital initiatives and system improvements in quality functions preferred
Skills
Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability
Leadership capability with a focus on team development
Digital mindset with exposure to automation and data-driven quality systems
Strategic thinking with strong execution orientation
Effective communication and stakeholder management
Ability to influence without authority
Proactive and result-oriented approach
