Astt. Manager / Manager - BESS
Core Responsibilities :
1. Cost Estimation & BOQ Preparation: Develop detailed, end-to-end EPC cost estimates, including civil (foundations, site prep), mechanical (HVAC, containers), and electrical components (inverters, BMS, transformers).
2. Techno-Commercial Analysis: Evaluate vendor quotations, perform cost-optimization studies, and prepare comparative statements for tendering, budgeting, and feasibility studies.
3. System Sizing & Design Validation: Review and optimize BESS design layouts, inverter/transformer sizing, and battery augmentation requirements to align with technical specifications and minimize CAPEX.
4. Financial Modeling Support: Provide inputs for LCOS (Levelized Cost of Storage), LCOE, and IRR analysis.
5. Risk Management: Identify potential cost risks, project assumptions, exclusions, and contingency requirements.
6. Vendor Management: Support the procurement team in technical evaluations of suppliers.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or Energy Systems Engineering.
- Experience: 3–8+ years in cost estimation, tendering, or engineering, specifically within renewable energy or BESS sectors.
- BESS Knowledge: Deep understanding of Lithium-ion, Flow, or LFP battery technologies, power conversion systems (PCS), and grid connection codes.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced MS Excel (crucial for modeling), Auto CAD, and familiarity with simulation tools like PVSyst, HOMER, or ETAP.
- EPC Exposure: Experience in utility-scale PV/BESS EPC projects.
