Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of one or more of our services
- Gain deep knowledge of our complex applications. Assist in the roll-out and deployment of new product features and installations to facilitate our rapid iteration and constant growth
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that platforms are designed with "operability" in mind
- Function well in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
- Be a team player
- Work in agile, scrum driven fast throughput environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field with minimum of 4-6 years of related work experience
- Container technologies like Docker
- Container Orchestration tool like Kubernetes
- Experience with existing open-source projects such as docker-compose, Zoo Keeper and Kafka
- Recent large-scale experience with configuration management using tools such as Salt stack, Ansible, Chef or Puppet
- Expertise using Linux command line
- Can write code using bash scripting, Power Shell, python or GO
- Experience with Mesh Networking and debugging
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Travis, or Git Hub Actions
- Developing, running, and/or consuming cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Open Stack, Google Cloud Platform
- Experience trouble-shooting that span systems, network (TCP/IP), and code
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of networking principles and OS operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with load balancing principles and API Gateways
- Familiarity with config management
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (including listening, speaking, and writing) and ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment with other Dev O, Engineers, Product Managers, etc
