About the ProjectAurivell: Shadows of the Wardens is a 2 D narrative RPG set in a morally grey, supernatural modern world. It’s The Wolf Among Us meets Disco Elysium — blending detective gameplay, point-and-click mechanics, and illusion magic in a haunting city full of secrets.
We’re looking for a 2 D Character Artist who can help bring this gritty, atmospheric world to life through expressive, stylized character art.

Key Responsibilities- Create compelling 2 D character designs that reflect personality, faction, and backstory.
- Design and render full-body character sprites, outfit variations, and accessories.
- Create clean, animatable sprite sheets (walk cycles, idle animations, interactions).
- Collaborate closely with writers and designers to interpret narrative into visual design.
- Ensure consistency with the game's visual tone: urban-fantasy, noir, grounded but magical.
- Iterate on feedback and revisions, especially during art style exploration phase.

Requirements- Strong portfolio showcasing character-focused 2 D artwork.
- Ability to design diverse, emotionally expressive characters with clear silhouettes.
- Comfortable creating turnarounds and sprite sheets for Unity-based workflows.
- Experience working in Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or equivalent.
- Ability to balance realism, stylization, and readability in small-scale sprite art.
- Familiarity with dark fantasy, urban supernatural, or noir genres.

- Familiarity with Unity pipeline and preparing assets for implementation.
- Ability to illustrate facial expressions, body language, and age/ethnic diversity.
