Description

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing the strategic marketing direction for India, Pakistan, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka. The incumbent will work in close collaboration with Sales, Business development and regulatory teams to ensure alignment of strategy. The Marketing Manager will drive the overall strategy along with regional leads, especially in the context of the organization's transition towards becoming "One Verdesian”. This role will drive the strong portfolio of technologies to market. Specific responsibilities include business and market development, competitive assessments, and customer segmentation, determining product offerings and pricing strategies, and strategic direction and execution for promotion and advertising. Efforts will also include identifying, prioritizing, and aligning focus on portfolio planning and managing social media. The incumbent will report to the Managing Director- South Asia.

Essential Responsibilities:
Ensure marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and implementation and meet organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with Sales.
Coordinate product training, positioning, and ongoing support in collaboration with Sales teams of distributor partners.
Lead sales forecasting, review and validation in collaboration with channel partners.
Provide collaborative input and development to respective sales teams on pricing, and marketing programs as appropriate.
Assisting in the building of the 2–5-year strategy plans that aligns with the global VLSCI goals.
Expanding the company’s brand image by facilitating sales and product training meetings
Collaborate with global marketing and product management team.
Develop the value proposition and positioning of both current and future products and projects.
Drive the channel strategy in coordination with regional sales colleagues.
Develop marketing strategies and programs that address specific customer needs and achieve VLSCI business goals.
Capture and communicate competitive market intelligence along with actionable responses.
Seeks current and foreseeable upcoming market needs in ways that provides differentiation.
Analyze and identify new market opportunities.
Ability to collaborate in Seed Industry
Help drive the strategy from a marketing perspective as we become “One Verdesian” and analyze synergies and best practices between the acquired businesses.

Reasoning Ability: The ability to effectively communicate problems and solutions to colleagues and channel partners both orally and in writing, and maintain interpersonal relationships is essential.
Must possess ability to multi-task several projects with various deadlines, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
Experience in crops and markets in South Asia.
Minimum work experience of 12 years in the Ag Sector preferably with Biologicals
Education to degree level in related field. Preferably, with MBA or equivalent degree/diploma
