Job Title: Assistant Agriculture Director

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (BSc Agri) or Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Rural Management.
Experience Requirements:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in policy formulation, supervision, and monitoring within the agricultural sector, especially in FPO (Farmer Producer Organizations), post-harvest management, and agri-marketing.
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Agriculture Director to oversee, guide, and enhance our agriculture-focused initiatives, with a primary focus on FPO development, post-harvest management, and market integration. This leadership role requires strong collaboration skills, strategic oversight, and effective coordination with government agencies to ensure sustainable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the project team, ensuring effective implementation and adherence to set objectives.
- Coordinate with state teams and establish strong working relationships with government stakeholders.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization, central and state governments, and relevant agencies to streamline operations and ensure compliance.
- Monitor the progress of identified FPOs, ensuring they receive eligible benefits under various government schemes.
- Drive the growth and economic sustainability of FPOs by providing strategic guidance and support.
- Develop and implement monitoring mechanisms to track project progress and impact.
- Regularly report to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for program enhancement.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Proven leadership abilities with a focus on agricultural development and FPO management.
- Strong knowledge of government schemes and policies related to agriculture and rural development.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
