Monitoring Engineer, Coimbatore

Title: Senior App Dynamics Observability SME

Work Location: Remote

Work Shift: Starts from 4:30 PM IST

Relevant years of experience: 6+

Notice Period: Immediate/Currently serving notice

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or engineering
• 3 + years’ experience leading people and/or leading large-scale projects
• 2+ years’ experience working with automation concepts and tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, Python to develop configuration, deployment, and orchestration workflows

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of modern observability tools (e.g., App Dynamics, Cisco Cloud Observability, Prometheus, Grafana, App Dynamics, ELK stack, Dyna Trace, New Relic) and related practices
• Experience with both legacy systems and modern cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, microservices, serverless)

Specific Skill-Set Requirements:

In specific with App Dynamics experience with machine agent installation and troubleshooting (Windows and Linux at minimum)

• App agent installation, and troubleshooting (mainly Java,. NET, Node JS, etc.)

• DB agent installation, troubleshooting and DB collector configuration.

• End User monitoring (nice to have)

• Synthetics (nice to have)

• Post agent enablement tasks:

o App Dynamics Application configuration customization (including BTs, Thresholds, BT detection, etc.)

o Health Rules

o Policies

o Actions

o Dashboards

In general:

• Proven expertise in observability, monitoring, and performance management of large-scale, distributed systems

• Experience with both legacy systems and modern cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, microservices, serverless)

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders, presenting findings and plans, and documenting systems and processes.

• Ability to own problems end-to-end, and willingness to obtain any required knowledge to get the job done

• Ability to lead matrix teams to achieve complex goals with a strong sense of accountability and integrity

• Ability to break down complex issues and develop innovative, comprehensive solutions

• Excellent project and program management skills, with a track record of leading complex initiatives to successful completion

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering actionable insights and improvements
