Spot On is an independent news startup reimagining how young Indians get their news 🗞️
We tell the stories that matter — clearly, creatively and built for the social feed. We’re looking for a Motion Graphics Designer who can translate journalism into striking visual language. Someone who understands pace, typography, layout and movement and knows how to make serious stories feel dynamic.
📍 Full-time | 100% remote | 100% social video
What You’ll Do
🎨 Design and animate high-quality motion graphics for daily short-form vertical videos
📺 Develop visual systems for long-form You Tube and interview formats
🧠 Collaborate with editors and producers to shape visual storytelling from concept stage
✨ Create branded templates, title cards, lower thirds, explainer graphics and data visualisations
📱 Adapt designs seamlessly across Instagram, You Tube, Snapchat and other social platforms
🎯 Maintain and evolve Spot On’s visual identity across all output
⚡ Deliver polished assets on tight newsroom timelines
What You Bring
🎞️ 2 years of experience in motion design (digital or creator-led brands preferred)
🎩 Strong command of After Effects & Adobe Creative Suite
📊 Ability to visualise data, policy and complex ideas clearly and cleanly
👀 Sharp eye for typography, composition, rhythm and brand consistency
📱 Deep understanding of social-first design and digital video formats
⚡ Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
🎓 Degree in design, visual arts or related field is a plus

You’ll help shape the visual language of a next-generation newsroom. We’re building journalism for the creator era. This isn’t a maintenance role. You’ll define systems, build templates and create the motion identity of a fast-growing media brand.
