For 20+ years, BGR has helped founders, promoters, and investors across 40+ countries de-risk CXO and functional-head hiring across industrial and manufacturing sectors.
BGR is now building a Sector Partner Network and is looking for a Partner – Sector Expert (Specialty & Industrial Chemicals).
The Role
This is a part-time, strategic, non-operational role for a senior leader from the Specialty & Industrial Chemicals ecosystem who wants to:
Stay close to the industry without taking a full-time corporate role
Work directly with promoters and CXOs on leadership and growth issues
Monetize sector insight, relationships, and judgment in a high-trust boutique environment
The selected Partner will work closely with BGR's Founder & CEO and the internal research team.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a sector face for BGR in Specialty & Industrial Chemicals
Open doors and make warm introductions to promoters, MDs, CEOs, BU Heads, and CHROs
Co-shape critical mandates such as MD, CEO, COO, Site Head, Plant Head, Cluster Head, and key functional leadership roles
Bring practical sector insight into role design, candidate evaluation, and final selection
Participate in selected client meetings, reviews, and strategic discussions
Help conceptualize sector-specific offerings such as succession planning, talent mapping, and interim or fractional leadership solutions
This is not a traditional sales target or execution role. It is a relationship, judgment, and sector credibility role.
Ideal Profile
The role is best suited for a senior professional who has:
15–25+ years in Specialty Chemicals, Industrial Chemicals, or adjacent process industries
Experience as MD, CEO, COO, Business Head, P&L Head, Plant Head, or senior functional leader
Strong credibility with promoters, CXOs, and senior decision-makers in the sector
Deep understanding of manufacturing, compliance, safety, growth, and market realities
The desire to work in a sharp, founder-led, high-trust platform rather than a large generic setup
Bandwidth for approximately 8–12 hours per month on a flexible basis
Prior executive search experience is not necessary. Sector depth, credibility, and judgment matter more.
