Job Summary :
We are seeking a Power BI Developer with 4+ years of experience, who has strong skills in SQL development, data modeling, and dashboard/report creation.
This role is onsite in Pune and will require close collaboration with data engineers, business analysts, and internal stakeholders to deliver business-critical insights and optimized reports.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using business and user requirements.
- Build optimized SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support reporting needs.
- Develop and maintain efficient data models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations.
- Connect Power BI to diverse data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, Share Point, APIs, and ensure high performance and reliability.
- Create custom visualizations and drill-downs to aid user decision-making.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security in all Power BI deliverables.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage workspace roles.
- Coordinate with business users to gather requirements, perform UAT, and provide production support.
- Collaborate with IT to manage deployment and scheduling of reports via Power BI Service.
Required Skills :
- 4+ years of experience in Power BI Development.
- Expert in SQL - writing complex queries, joins, views, and stored procedures.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schema).
- Hands-on experience with DAX, Power Query (M Language).
- Experience in integrating Power BI with SQL Server, Excel, and Share Point.
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data transformation logic.
- Experience working with Power BI Service - including workspace management, gateways, RLS.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
