Performance Optimization: Ensure CSS is lean and performant; optimize the "Critical Rendering Path" to improve Core Web Vitals scores.
Accessibility (a11y): Ensure all UI components meet WCAG 2.1 standards (screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation).
Mentorship: Code review the work of Band 1 designers and provide guidance on best practices.
Requirements Required Skills: Advanced CSS: Mastery of SCSS/SASS, CSS Variables, and BEM naming conventions.
JS for Design: Strong command of Java Script (ES6+) specifically for DOM manipulation and UI logic.
Frameworks: Experience templating within modern frameworks (React/Vue/Angular) — strictly on the presentation layer (JSX/Templates).
Motion Design: Ability to code smooth, 60fps animations.
Tooling: Experience with build tools (Webpack, Vite, Gulp) and package managers (NPM/Yarn).
