Roles & Responsibilities: Screen, interview, onboard and manage employees to develop and run a high-performing, motivated team of data scientists and data engineers who demonstrate BMS values.
Establish, prioritize and manage the team's Sprint process for work allocation using agile methodology and ensure the work is well connected with the outcomes desired for the use cases.
Ensure team is following technical best practices in building, maintaining and enhancing scalable predictive models, including code version control, data pipeline management, deployment, and documentation.
Stay connected to internal and external new emerging technologies, and proactively make recommendations for their use where significant impact can be realized.
Establish close collaboration with local GPS and IT functional data science and data engineering experts.
Collaborate with USA and Europe based PD team members and stakeholders.
Experience and/or ability to learn various techniques that will be applied such as machine learning, data science, computer vision, artificial intelligence, statistics, and/or applied mathematics.
Readily work hours that provide sufficient overlap with standard east coast US working hours.
Skills and Competencies: Strong project management skills to ensure timely delivery and successful implementation of use cases.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in an analytical, engineering, or scientific discipline.
Proven experience (6 years) working in a data and analytics role, including direct development experience.
Experience with computer science, information systems, computer engineering.
Experience with biopharma product development and/or manufacturing operations is a significant plus.
Experience managing/leading team(s) is a plus.
Experience operating in an agile environment (experience with tools like JIRA) is a plus.
Experience working with large datasets, data visualization tools, statistical software packages and platforms (specifically R, Python, advanced SQL, Domino, AWS, Git Hub, dbt, Tableau).
Experience deploying predictive models, user-centric dashboards, cloud-based ELT pipelines, simulation and optimization models is a significant plus.
