Job Description : Infrastructure : - A thorough understanding of IT infrastructure & IT ideologies and the interaction between physical and virtual layers - Monitoring and identifying issues, owning through to resolution whilst working with the wider team when required - Proactively identifying improvements for the infrastructure Operating systems and software configuration : - Exposure to multiple Unix/Linux server operating systems (AIX, Redhat, Oracle), in-depth experience of at least one - In-depth experience in administering virtualisation/hypervisor software - Ensure the environments are assured against data loss - Identify and undertake software or operating systems installations and upgrades - Develop scripts and processes to aid day-to-day activities, automating and streamlining wherever possible - Gain or hold relevant accreditations (e.g.

Redhat RHCE).

- Solid foundation in Unix/Linux operating systems, encompassing system administration, shell scripting, and performance tuning.

- Proficient in managing and operating big data technologies and ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark, HDFS, etc.) on Unix/Linux platforms.

- Demonstrated expertise in effectively managing codebases and configurations.

- Strong skills in Linux/Unix (RHEL 7).

- Capable of installing, configuring, and maintaining Unix/Linux systems for big data applications.

- Experienced in managing user access, file systems, and security settings in line with organizational policies and : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications and experience may be considered.

Skills : - Strong knowledge of multiple Unix/Linux operating systems (AIX, Redhat, Oracle) - Strong knowledge of server design and implementation best practices.

- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting server hardware and software.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
