We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and work on hands-on, project-driven tasks related to desktop infrastructure. This role will be focused on the execution of desktop-related IT projects, including system upgrades, virtual desktop deployments, and infrastructure optimization. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will work with cross-functional teams to implement desktop solutions, troubleshoot issues, and automate processes that enhance desktop performance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Desktop System Implementation:
Deploy, configure, and optimize desktop systems, including workstations, virtual desktops (VDI), and related infrastructure solutions. Ensure solutions are implemented per project specifications, meeting performance and security requirements.
- System Upgrades & Migrations:
Lead the technical aspects of OS upgrades, hardware replacements, and platform migrations. Work closely with other teams to plan and execute seamless transitions with minimal disruption to operations.
-Automation & Scripting:
Develop and implement automation scripts (e. G., Power Shell, Bash) to streamline system imaging, software deployment, and patch management for desktop systems.
-System Integration & Configuration:
Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate desktop systems into the broader IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
-Security & Compliance:
Ensure desktop systems are secure, compliant with organizational policies, and meet industry standards for endpoint protection, encryption, and access control.
-Documentation & Reporting:
Document the design, configuration, and deployment processes of desktop systems. Ensure that post-project reviews and technical documentation are created and maintained for future reference.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in desktop infrastructure, system administration, or IT engineering.
- Expertise in administering Windows, mac OS, and Linux desktop systems.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e. G., Citrix).
- Familiarity with desktop management tools (e. G., SCCM, Intune, JAMF, SALT, SOTI or similar).
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and cloud services (e. G., Azure).
- Experience with security best practices, endpoint protection, and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional.
- Experience with desktop virtualization platforms (e. G., Citrix).
- Strong scripting skills (Power Shell, Python, etc.) for system automation.
Working Conditions:

- Full-time position with occasional after-hours work required to meet project deadlines.
- Some travel may be required to support remote locations or implementations.
