This role offers a hybrid work option, meaning you can both work from home and commute to a Linked In office, depending on what’s best for you and when it is important for your team to be together. The logging platform is responsible for managing the logging infrastructure at Linked In, ensuring that logs are efficiently collected, processed, enriched, and stored. The platform handles a high volume of logs, scaling to petabytes per day. It provides standardized solutions that enable all Linked In applications and infrastructure to easily instrument, emit, and process log data. As a member working with the logging platform, you will have the opportunity to work with various Linked In application stacks and leverage open-source tools like Fluent Bit and Apache log4j to integrate with our logging infrastructure. The system challenges addressed by this platform involve high concurrency and require robust service infrastructure to maintain performance and reliability. Responsibilities- Develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable system infrastructure observability solutions that operate 24x7.- Produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.- Partner with peers, leads and partners to define, scope, prioritize, and build impactful features at a high velocity. Basic Qualifications- BE/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.- 5+ years of experience in object-oriented or functional programming languages.- 5+ years of hands on experience developing distributed systems, databases, large scale data systems and/or Backend API's. Preferred Qualifications- 5+ years industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.- 5+ years programming experience in languages such as Java, C/C++, Python, Go, etc.- Familiarity with Observability technologies.
