Specific duties and responsibilities of the role :
- Work with product owners, stakeholders and the technical lead to translate roadmap features into manageable components/tasks, estimate timings and resources, suggest solutions and identify possible risks.
- Ensure the quality of work meets our technical standards.
- Learn new technologies and keep abreast of existing technologies and be able to apply these to a variety of projects as applicable
- Contribute to the technical design of features early in the development cycle, influencing it to drive quality and adherence to the specification.
- Ensure software conforms to the operational requirements of the hosting environment.
- Work with test and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the life cycle.
- Analyse code quality and continually assess risk to ensure that high quality solutions are delivered.
- Write, review and take responsibility for clear, concise and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Work with all relevant parties on the deployment of services to the live site and all intermediate hosting environments.
- Participate in the scheduling of security and performance testing cycles across the applications
Summary of Technical Skills :
Essential :
- Advanced C# /.
Net Core (with ASP.
NET) development
- Advanced Entity Framework (Core variant ideally)
- Advanced unit test development (nunit or xunit)
- Good HTML, CSS and Javascript knowledge
- Good web api experience
- Good in either SQL Server or Azure SQL
- Good SPA development (Angular, React or Blazor webassembly) -or- desktop WPF / Xamarin experience
Desirable :
- Experience and understanding of the MVVM design pattern
- Mediator / CQRS experience
- Typescript
- Intermediate SCSS
- Use of Azure and an understanding of Azure Key Vault, Azure app services and / or function apps
- Experience with Azure cognitive services or Azure Search implementation
