Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to lead Employment Law, Labour Law, Litigation, and Regulatory Compliance functions for the organization. The role will partner closely with business and leadership teams to manage legal risks, ensure compliance with Indian laws and regulations, and provide strategic legal guidance across workforce and operational matters.


Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all employment law, labour law, and industrial relations matters across the organization.
Advise business leaders and HR teams on employee relations, disciplinary matters, workplace investigations, POSH matters, separations, restructuring, and workforce-related risk management.
Handle and oversee litigation matters including labour court cases, employment disputes, regulatory matters, consumer disputes, and commercial litigation in coordination with external counsels.
Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian statutory and regulatory requirements including labour laws, Shops & Establishment Act, CLRA, POSH, PF, Gratuity, Wages, and other employment-related regulations.
Provide legal support on HR policies, employment contracts, compensation structures, code of conduct, and internal governance frameworks.
Drive legal risk assessment, compliance reviews, audits, and remediation initiatives across business functions.
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, service agreements, and other legal documentation.
Support leadership on corporate governance, internal investigations, policy interpretation, and regulatory matters.
Partner with Compliance, Risk, HR, and business teams to strengthen governance and ensure proactive legal risk mitigation.
Manage and mentor the legal team while coordinating with external law firms and consultants.


Desired Candidate Profile

LLB / LLM from a reputed institution.
15+ years of experience in legal roles with strong exposure to labour law, employment law, litigation management, and Indian regulatory compliances.
Strong understanding of Indian labour and employment regulations and experience handling litigation and regulatory matters.
Experience in corporate legal, BFSI, or multinational environments preferred.
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, drafting, and advisory skills.
